Fundraising fun at the Guardhouse!

May 19, 2017

April was a busy month on the headland, with Easter holidays and lovely sunshine. We enjoyed two fun fundraising events which were boosted by the number of people around.

Wear a Hat Day is an annual national event organised by Brain Tumour Research. This year our customers wholeheartedly got involved, and by wearing a silly hat the money from their drinks went to the charity instead of the cafe. We managed to raise £150 and had a lot of fun in the process!

Then once again at Easter we held our annual Easter Egg Hunt. Hundreds of children took part, searching around the headland for the treasured eggs and enjoying their chocolates when they returned to the cafe. We were delighted to raise £340 for the friends of Berry Head’s defibrillator project.

Not a bad view for those intrepid eggsplorers who found this one!
