GOLD again for the Guardhouse Cafe!
Last week the Taste of the West mystery shoppers visited us (on a pretty hectic busy day too!) and we are so proud that for the 6th year in a row they have awarded us with a GOLD award.
Many thanks judges for your helpful feedback, and for the wonderful warm words you used to describe our food, our team, the atmosphere, and our focus on local suppliers.
In particular we are so proud to read the feedback you gave about one of our new staff who’s just finished his GCSEs, Edward.
“he looked after us with care and attention and a cracking positive attitude. If he didn’t know the answer to a question he went to find out, and he brought everything we needed. They were much busier than expected due to a teachers’ strike on a sunny day, but the service didn’t slip for a second. He checked that the meal was ok and was thorough and attentive. It’s fantastic to see young people being brought into the hospitality industry and looked after so well.”
