Update: the roadworks are gone now.
Gillard Rd is closed today (apparently reopening some time Friday 2nd) due to emergency works by South West Water. We went to investigate and found this gigantic hole in the road and swarms of people working on it...
There is a diversion in place via Berry Head Rd. However the 'closure' is between Mudstone Lane and Centry Road, so when leaving Berry Head a better routing is to drive the normal route then turn into Centry Rd.
We did notice several cars and vans drove in both directions right past the closure without difficulty... ...

We are looking for a new HEAD CHEF to join our cafe team. This is a crucial role for our thriving and popular cafe — someone who can lead our kitchen and help take our food offering to the next level.
This is an amazing opportunity for the right person, as we offer year‑round and almost exclusively daytime shifts alongside special evening events. There are not many more beautiful places to come to work every day.
