Single use takeaway packaging is terrible for the world. Recently David Attenborough has helped us focus on the issues of plastic waste; our particular bugbear is takeaway cups, as each year in the UK along we throw away 2.5 billion, and almost every one ends up in landfill.

Winter Opening Hours

Winter is nearly here, and with it the dreaded clock change. As usual we will begin closing a little earlier than usual – but once again we will remain open every day through the winter (except Christmas Day).


From Monday, October 30th until Friday, February 9th 2018 our opening hours will be

9am – 4pm

Hot food will be served until 3:15pm.

Our evening events make a return in November (after the end of the Greater Horseshoe Bat breeding season!). The evenings will be Fridays, November 3rd, 10th and 17th.

We have a vacancy in our team for an immediate start!

4-5 days per week / around 30 hours (a bit flexible)
Seasonal position until the end of October
Age 16+, including weekday and weekend shifts
A mix of front of house duties including clearing tables, serving customers, washing up

You will be really outgoing and friendly, and very hard working
Previous cafe experience would be a bonus but not vital
