Stacey Langon, our new head chef
Have you met our new Head Chef Stacey yet? Stacey is a larger-than-life character inside and outside of the Guardhouse, and a Brixham girl, who a lot of you probably know already…
Stacey joined us in March, officially as Sous Chef, having worked in several local restaurants including Shoals Cafe on the Lido. She and Martin did a fantastic job of running the kitchen through a very busy summer. During this time she brought her own blend of calm authority, extreme competence, and delicious food, into the team… When Martin moved on to a new challenge in October we were delighted to already have the perfect replacement and Stacey has now stepped into his big shoes.
This month she’s launched our winter restaurant evenings, with last week’s fish theme proving as popular as ever and we are looking forward to Vegetarian and Vegan Tapas on Friday.
Outside work Stacey enjoys physical challenges; a few years ago she ran the London Marathon to raise fund for charity. Then she swapped running shoes for a large paddle and is a keen member of Brixham Gig Rowing club.
During the quieter winter months she might be allowed out of the kitchen occasionally so please do say hello next time you’re here!
